Futong Takes Part in Drafting Telecommunication
Standards for International Telecommunication Union

Futong Group sent a delegation to attend the third session of the research phase of International Telecommunication Union in Geneva from 29th April through 10th May. This marks the fact that Futong Group as a manufacturer first took part in the work of drafting telecommunication standards for ITU. This participation in the ITU-T research will bring innumerable benefits and the information attained through this activity will be incomparable with that through any other channels.

Approved by the Science and Technology Division of Ministry of Information Industry, Hangzhou Futong Group Corporation, as a member of the Science and Technology Division, took part in the work of ITU-T SG15 research panel. Recommended by Futong and approved by Telecommunication Union Office of the Ministry of Information Industry, He Xingfu, Senior Engineer of the International Business Unit of Futong Group was chosen as a member of the expert panel of the ministry and attended the session on behalf of Futong Group.

ITU-T SG15 is a research academic group involved in optical fiber cable and other transmission networks, which is a group in charge of the research of optical fiber and transmission networks, systems and equipments. Its research scope includes formulating standards for optical fiber cable and transmission-layer related transmission access as well as urban and trunk transmission. SG15 research panel is composed of five work group covering 19 subjects. At this meeting, over 440 documents were assessed.
